We have mentioned many times in CRM Out of the Box series, that the main, basic and most important challenge of any CRM system is to save its users’ time. Voice dictation of notes after a meeting, phone call or simply comments on each of the elements of work in CRM is one of the answers to this challenge.
Imagine the following situation. We are a trader. We move from one meeting to the next. Of course, the manager requires us to complete basic information about each meeting held, about its results and potential benefits, that can bring our company. As usual, we don’t have time for this. We get in the car, we go from one customer to another. There is no time to sit down, open the computer and type a few words into CRM. It is just as inconvenient in the mobile application.
The manufacturers of our phones come here with the solution. Regardless of whether we use smartphones with Android software or Apple iPhones. In both cases, we can use the voice typing tool (Google / Android) or voice dictation (Apple). And it is so perfect, that in both of these cases, these tools work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 mobile application, regardless of CRM modules we use (Sales, Customer Service or Marketing).
So we can easily start voice dictation, dictate a note after the meeting, comment on the client or offers to the system and save a lot of time, that we would use to open the computer, log in to the system, or simply to tediously type content on our not very comfortable mobile keyboard smartphone.
Voice dictation, with all its drawbacks (linguistic errors, grammar, syntax), allows you to register a fully understandable note, which can be used as a basis for a later detailed description of the meeting or offer, or if we were extremely careful when speaking to our phone – a transcript of our registration can be an excellent and complementary note in itself.
It is also worth noting, that voice assistants and voice dictation from week to week and month to month are subject to further updates and improvements that we, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM users can benefit from.
