As part of the next update of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales system, we got a new look at the possibility of detecting duplicates in the Potential Customers table. The refreshed function allows you to quickly compare and mark lead records as real duplicates (record deletion) or as completely separate information (duplication tag deletion).
The problem is quite common. If your organization deals with a large number of collected Leads, it is properly guaranteed. Duplicates, the same subject, the same person, the same email and phone number. Similar strings of characters, often with one/two errors, but in fact, more repeated information is multiplied in our database.
The new, refreshed look at duplicate detection rules allows for quick, more precise than before matching similar or identical records, and then easy removal from the system (or possibly marking them as non-duplicate, should the matching rules get wrong for some reason).
The feature is available from Sales application settings in the latest update of Dynamics 365 Sales application and anyone can run it in the preview version, testing the refreshed duplicate management.
